Larry is the President of East Coast Volleyball Academy, a 501c3 non-profit and the host location for the East Coast Winter Wonderland and the East Coast Jingle Ball. He is also the director for Wilmington Volleyball Series and East Coast Events. He played baseball at UNCW from 2005 - 2008. While there he won a regular season CAA championship and a tournament championship, and qualified for two NCAA regional bids. His goal now is to help local youth have opportunities they would have never had before in our local area. His goal for the Jingle Ball and the Winter Wonderland is to help raise money and awareness for two causes that hit close to home. He has 6 family members that have been touched with T1 Diabetes or Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Hannah has devoted her life to helping others. She is currently a Physician Assistant at Wilmington Health. Before joining Wilmington Health she attended Mercer University as a full scholarship athlete in Beach Volleyball. She graduated in 3 years and attended the University of South Carolina for Graduate School. She left USC with a Masters in Public Health and a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the USC School of Medicine. She has worked with local youth to help teach beach volleyball and run beach volleyball tournaments. She has now made it a goal to help raise funds to provide more opportunities to those in need.
Dr. Corinne Edwards has proudly devoted over 20 years to helping raise funds for JDRF and The Autism Society, collectively, due to personal and family connections to both organizations. She is a school administrator and graduate of UNCW (Ed.D. in Educational Leadership), UNCC (M.A. in Mathematics Education), and UNCW (B.A. in Psychology). She has served our state as Mrs. North Carolina and has received the President’s Gold Award for Volunteerism for her dedication to community service for children and families.
Karen Salefsky has devoted over 20 years to raising funds and awareness for JDRF and the Autism Society – two causes that are very close to heart and home, with several family members being impacted by T1 Diabetes or Autism Spectrum Disorder. Karen has served for almost 40 years as an active Board Member of the Onslow County United Way and Director of the Jacksonville-Onslow Chamber of Commerce annual Christmas Holiday Parade. She will soon be celebrating a 50 year service anniversary as Vice President and Business Banking Center Manager for PNC Bank in Jacksonville. Karen is a recipient of many service awards and professional awards, including Onslow County Woman of The Year, Top 10 Most Influential Women in Onslow County, JDRF Community Volunteer Award, Gallup Great Workplace Award, PNC Market All-Star, PNC Circle of Excellence, and the President’s Gold Award for Volunteerism - for her lifelong dedication to community service.
